Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is, as stated from the King's Royal Rifle Corp as stated on the Maltese Cross Cap Badge together with the unit's Battle honors. The tunic, which is correctly known as a Scottish or Highland Doublet, is designed to be worn with a Kilt and still bears its original paper Label on the inside interior back stating that it was made by the ROYAL ARMY CLOTHING FACTORY, in JAN 1913. The label also gives the measurements of the doublet, and indicates that it is a Scottish style uniform for the King's Royal Rifles. The doublet bears the correct "Hunting Horn" buttons of the King's Royal Rifle Corps.

The side cap is made from simulated Persian Lamb Pelt, better known today as Astrakhan. It is is decorated with plaited cord and lined in leather, which has R.S.M. BARKER written on a label on in the headband. The cap also sports the correct RIFLE CORP Green Horse Hair Hackle or brush above the regimental badge.

All dating to just before WWI, this is a nice set for Rifle Regiment Collectors, Ready to display!

The King's Royal Rifle Corps was an infantry rifle regiment of the British Army that was originally raised in British North America as the Royal American Regiment during the phase of the Seven Years' War in North America known as 'The French and Indian War.' Subsequently numbered the 60th Regiment of Foot, the regiment served for more than 200 years throughout the British Empire. In 1958, the regiment joined the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and the Rifle Brigade in the Green Jackets Brigade and in 1966 the three regiments were formally amalgamated to become the Royal Green Jackets. The KRRC became the 2nd Battalion Royal Green Jackets. On the disbandment of 1/RGJ in 1992, the RGJ's KRRC battalion was redesignated as 1/RGJ, eventually becoming 2/RIFLES in 2007.
